Are you fully insured?
Yes, we are fully insured for all your belongings in the unlikely case of an accident in transit. Accidents do happen occasionally and your home insurance may not cover you.
Do you move on weekends?
Yes, we operate a weekend service by appointment so please get in touch for details.
Do you cover all of Tasmania?
Yes, we cover all of Tasmania and there’s almost nowhere we haven’t been in over 30 years.
Do you have a fixed price for removals?
No, each job is unique and so all are priced accordingly to the information you provide. This way you are only paying for what you need.
Do you provide free quotes?
Yes, please get in touch with us and provide as much info regarding the amount you have as well as your location and the destination, and we will be delighted to give you an accurate quote.
Do You Offer Packing Services?
No, we don’t pack your items, but we will expertly pack them into our van and can help advise the best way to prepare certain items before you move.
Can you provide packing boxes, cartons and materials?
Yes, we are able to supply packing materials and crates and collect them when you are finished. Please ask us about pricing for this as part of your job.
What if i need to cancel and re book?
No problem, as long as you give us adequate notice, we will reschedule you to a date that is convenient for you. We understand that with homes and offices things can change or last minute complications arise. We are an owner operator small business so we are able to be flexible if we are able.
House and Furniture Removal FAQ’s
Will you unplug my white goods or tv?
No, our team won’t disconnect fridges, dryers, cookers, tv’s or washing machines etc. This must be done before we arrive and each item prepared properly so we can move you quickly and efficiently.
What happens if all my goods don’t fit in one trip?
Depending on the availability you can book us for a 2nd trip. We base our quotes on the info you provide so don’t under estimate the amount you have. If we are unable to make a second trip then you can ask us to leave goods that you can move yourself.
Can you store items before I move into my new home?
We don’t offer storage but we can certainly take your items to a storage company for safe keeping until you are ready for us to complete your move.
Is there anything you won’t move?
There are a few items we don’t move so please ask us about these. We strongly recommend incredibly fragile or items of extreme personal value be moved by yourselves.
Can you dismantle items for me and reassemble?
We are able to take apart simple items like beds and frames and some other large furniture that comes apart easily, but definitely not self assembly items such as Ikea etc.
Canyon move items from my loft?
For health and safety reason we can’t go into lofts. you should take your time in the period before the move to safely get all your items out the loft so we can transport them for you.
Office and Business Removal FAQ’s
Will you unplug my office equipment like photocopiers or tv’s?
No, our team won’t unplug electrical or computer equipment. This must be done before we arrive and each item prepared properly so we can move you quickly and efficiently.
My office or business has lots of unique and specialised items, do you have experience in this?
Yes, we have been operating for over 30 years and have good experience moving most things. There’s almost nothing our team hasn’t moved large or small for home or business. We will have prepared our team for your job to cope with the items you have.
Is there anything you won’t move?
There are a few items we don’t move so please ask us about these. For offices that may store any kinds of chemicals then these are likely to be a hazard.
Can you dismantle items for me and reassemble?
We are able to take apart simple items like cabinets and shelves and some other large furniture that comes apart easily like desks and chairs, but definitely not self assembly items such as Ikea or specialised office equipment etc.
